Wonders

So here is my trip around Tasmania, a wide array of landscapes, people and places.  Here is my first installment, its all about the people from the falls festival, where people are not afraid to act how they feel, dress how they likel and just enjoy the music and people. if only it could carry on into everyday life, people would be much merrier.

December Excitement

Here are some photos I took in december. It was a fun close to the year 2010. It was a hard year, with my motivation levels hitting rock bottom, I spent a lot of time in bed reading books instead of keeping up with my uni and catching up with friends. But december seemed to have picked up my mood, perhaps it was the end of uni, the summer days or perhaps it is the iron tablets I started to take hehe, but what ever it was its continued on in early 2011. Lets hope the rest of this year follows suit.

Oh thes shots were taken with my very own SLR that I got for my birthday in december. That's right my very own Canon EOS,  more focus, louder click, all the more to annoy my friends. I also got a lovely vintage Olympus OM10, it is one sexy camera. I will hopefully upload some of my film photography, but I don't have a scanner at the moment, sadness...soon

Bison

I love this graphic design team. they combine photography, illustration and digital manipulation to create fresh and exciting new works. Although they do have that 'contemporary' feel seen in todays graphic art movement they also have their own personal twist using a range of media.

I love how they describe their creative process :

"...Experimentation is the key to discovery and thus find
ways around the tried and tested approach producing
a fresh and unexpected result,
'I am always doing that which I cannot do,
in order that I may learn how to do it.' - Picasso "

Muse

Here are some stunning and wonderfully inspiring photographers. Their ideas and the moments they capture is something I really aspire to. Its not always about the crispiest photo you can take, or the most elaborate scene you can create, sometimes a simple camera with an accidental blur can mean so much more and resonate with people, it is however about being able to recognise those shots for what they are and not dissmssing them as 'bad'.

Ellen Rogers

Lost fairy tales. Forgotten photos. Old, black and white vampire films. There's something very intriguing about these photographs, something reminiscent of the past. that speaks of some old memory but you cannot quite remember.... I love her technique as well.
Find many more of her works here.
