Joshua Hoffine

Something for Halloween. Self proclaimed 'Horror photographer', Joshua Hoffine creates these very vivid scenes, using constructed sets and models/actors , then adds photoshops touches if needed, to create these very life like and frightening images. Check out his website and blog (his blog has some process work too, really interesting to see how he produces his images)

Cai Guo-Qiang

Confrontational and powerful instillations. Hs works with taxidermy could be seen as controversial but i think it is so captivating. the stillness of the animals makes you think about the live ones and our hunting practices that still go on today. This would have been amazing to see in the flesh.
Cai Guo-Qiang is a conceptual artist, working in instillation mainly, most of his works use the gallery walls as part of the art work it self. Very interesting artist of exploration.

Kyle Tezak

Tezak, graphic designer, does some pretty cute and clever thing. I especially like his hand draw thumbnails that are explored for some of the work he created.

Edie Overturf

Here are some interesting drawings and prints (wood cut) by Edie Overturf. Although I am not always a huge fan of muted and washed out colours, however i really like the content of his work and the imegary that he portrays in his work speak to me better than the colours used.

LeZink

Some very cool examples of graphic design in publications.
Just smart and interestng layouting and graphics, used in these magazine and article designs. LeZink has a very nice style. He makes collages using imagery, illustrations both hand drawn and digitally drawn and fuses it all together using textures, colours, and shapes to create some very pleasing graphic art with excellent composition and balance.
